Elementary Musical Theatre 

(Grades 2-5)

            Tuesdays 5:00-6:30      

            April 10th- June 12th                                  Performance will be during the last class

Our musical theatre class for our youngest Broadway bound performers will teach students how to combine acting, singing, and dancing to create well-rounded, show stopping musical numbers. This class is primarily focused on small group numbers and ensemble numbers, with a goal of helping performers learn to sing while dancing during a musical number.

Junior Musical Theatre 

(Grades 6-8)

            Tuesdays 7:00-8:30      

            April 10th- June 12th                                  Performance will be during the last class

 

This musical theatre class for our middle school students will primarily feature short solos and small group numbers. Junior Musical Theatre students will quickly learn several musical numbers, and get to work on adding in their own unique staging to musical scenes. Students will work on songs across the canon of musical theatre history!

Senior Musical Theatre

 Spring Cabaret 

(Grades 9-12)

             Thursdays 7:00-8:30             

             April 12th-June 14                                       Cabaret will be held on the last class day!

For our older Broadway enthusiasts, we offer this 10-week, in-depth musical theatre solos class. This class will culminate in our second annual Spring Cabaret., featuring solos by all students in the class, as well as short ensemble vocal pieces. Students in the class must be willing to sing solo.

Creative Dramatics - (K-2nd Grade)

Mondays from 5:00-6:00 APRIL 9th-JUNE 11th

  

This theatre class is for our youngest actors, especially those who are new to performance! Creative Dramatics allows students to explore and develop their own creativity without having to memorize lines or read from scripts. Students will use characters from familiar stories to work on various creative projects, ranging from skit-writing to puppet shows!

Intro to Acting  (Grades 3-5)

Mondays from 6:00-7:00 APRIL 9th-JUNE 11th

OR Thursdays from 6:00-7:00, APRIL 12th-JUNE 14th

     

This class is all about the fundamentals of acting, including how to create a character, projection, diction, memorization and partnering. Students will learn through a combination of games and exercises and will work on short scenes and sketches.

(Note: There are two separate sections of this class - you will choose which day you are registering for) 

Basic Acting     (Grades 6-8)

Basic Acting is designed to help middle school students dive deeper into the art of acting. Building on the fundamentals of acting, students will also learn in-depth character analysis and the basis of movement techniques, and they will work to apply these techniques to short scenes. 

Comedy & Improv (Grades 6-10)

Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 APRIL 11-JUNE 13th 

This class is for middle and early high school students who are hoping to learn more about improvisation, comedic sketch writing, and creative performance. Students will play a range of short-form improv games, while also learning how to write their own short, comedic sketches!

Shakespeare (Grades 8-12)

Thursdays from 6:00-7:00 APRIL 12th-JUNE 14th

Our Shakespeare class is the best way for students to prepare to audition for our summer Shakespeare troupe, The Sandbox Players. Students will improve their ability to read and understand Shakespeare, while learning voice and movement technique to assist them in classical performance. 

Elementary Musical Theatre (Grades 2-5)

Adult Acting (Ages 18 and up)

Tuesdays from 7:00-8:00, APRIL 10th-JUNE 12th

Our Adult Acting class is a great opportunity to try something brand new, polish skills from years past, or continue training for local productions! Our Adult Acting class is structured as a Scene Study course, meaning participants will work on scenes with partners throughout the 10 week class. We also teach foundational voice and movement work which we apply to the scenes in class.
