Here at Recess, we aim to connect students with professional teaching artists, designers, actors, playwrights & technicians. Our goal is for students to explore the various elements of theatre with insight from professionals in the field. Just like the variety of games you can play during recess, theatre is vast and full of possibilities for the creative spirit.
LOGAN ALLEN BROWN
SKETCH COMEDY & IMPROV GUEST TEACHER
Logan Allen Brown holds a B.A. in Theatre and a minor in creative writing. He spent most of his time in college performing/directing his improvisational comedy troupe New and Improv'd, assisting the direction of shows such as Shipwrecked!, and focusing his senior thesis on how characters can stick from improv to sketch comedy. His college years were peppered with professional gigs that helped him become closer to comedy, such as a summer stock production of Go Dog, Go! and an original script Upside Down Fairytales. Logan also played a Mud Beggar in the Sterling Renaissance Faire's 2016 season--a highly improvisational role requiring patron interaction as well as epic mud dives. Logan is excited to begin teaching all he knows about improv comedy at Recess, and can't wait to meet his students!
